Wilsons Glen Bushcare Group

Wilsons Glen Bushcare Group is just one of 50 volunteer Bushcare Groups operating in the Blue Mountains. Supported by Blue Mountains City Council, Bushcare Groups spend a few hours every month helping to manage invasive weeds and regenerate natural bushland areas. The Blue Mountains Bushcare Program aims to foster a sense of community responsibility for management and conservation of our local environment. Bushcare is also a great way to learn more about the bushland we live in.
Wilsons Glen Bushcare Group has been working in Wilsons Glen Reserve, Woodford, since late 2002. We often work at the Gypsy Pool, removing invasive plants from surrounding bushland. We also focus our efforts on keeping hanging swamps and other sensitive areas throughout the reserve weed-free. A native garden has also been created by our Bushcare Group to showcase the variety and beauty of the plants found in Woodford bushland.
The group meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 2pm at the main entrance to the reserve (south side of Woodford Railway Station). All tools and training provided. All you need bring is a hat and some drinking water. We would love to see you there!
